Age and birth date
- A guest cannot correct the birth date. The terms state that a guest user cannot change the date of birth once entered — type it carefully before signing in.
- Age verification. For users covered by the UK Online Safety Act the service uses third-party providers Ondato and Yoti; verification for other countries is not described.
- Rated 17+. The official App Store app carries a 17+ rating, and public display of NSFW content is prohibited and moderated.
Deleting the account and refunds
There is no public deletion guide — not verified; the terms say neither creators nor Poly can access chat contents, but what happens to data on deletion is not spelled out. Refunds: users “are not entitled to a refund without due cause”. Subscription prices are not shown before login. Pricing and refunds.
If an account is one step too many
The case for PolyBuzz
One-click sign-in with Apple or Google, a huge catalog behind the dialog, an official app rated 4.45.
The case for HoneyChat
No sign-in dialog at all: the chat opens in Telegram or the browser without an e-mail or birth date, and memory and history persist without an account. 20 messages a day free.
